April Fools

I LOVE April Fools. Me and Bo held the record for being April Fools Bandits, but as I have gotten older it really isn't funny and dread the day when Ben calls me to tell me "Hey mom we decided to get married at The Courthouse this weekend" or "Mom Heather's car was parked behind my truck and I backed into it crushing it" Sorry mom and Ann. I realize as a mom niether are very funny :) And the year before last was simply the best when I turned on my husband who was wanting to get my mom and tell her I was in labor. So I called my mom in advanced told her what Bo was planning and we created our own plan which was BRILLANT and got Bo SO GOOD. I have yet to see Bo loose all control like he did he was borderline hysterical. I still don't think he has forgiven us! But I'm pretty sure I have not laughed that hard since then.

So this year I went with a more realistic approach. Mashed Potatoes and gravy with peas and carrots!

I delivered them on April Fools to my nieces and nephews. I think Tyler was the only who was really fooled until a "pea" fell on the floor and made a thump sound a "real" pea wouldn't make!

WARNING: Potty TMI

For some time Ben has been telling me about 80% of time before he goes pee pee or poo poo. So about 2 months ago I tried potty training and would make him sit on the potty and it was pure torture for everyone involved so I decided to ease up and wait awhile. But for the past month he holds in his pee pee during bath time and will stand there with his legs crossed on the verge of peeing on himself and still refuse to sit on the potty or pee in the bath. So in order for him to relieve himself I would hand him the bowl that goes in his potty and he would go. 


Well while we were in New Orleans last week he was taking a bath with Trent and had to go pee pee really bad and of course refused to go pee pee in the potty. Becky starts screaming and I look over to Ben assuming the position aiming towards Trent so I yell Ben "No" he stops and starts playing... then my mom starts screaming/laughing so hard I look over and Ben has grabbed the shampoo bottle and is now trying to pee in the shampoo bottle. So I tell my mom can you please go get him something to pee in. She comes back with a cup and hands it to Ben and he goes pee in the cup and starts clapping and is so PROUD of himself. We laughed for a good 30 minutes. Poor guy had to pee so bad he grabbed a shampoo bottle.

 So Monday started Potty Boot camp at The Boisclair Household. And I'm so EXCITED to say it is going EXTREMELY well! He didn't wear a diaper Monday or Tuesday except for nap time and bedtime. Monday he had NO accidents even on our hour walk. Yesterday he had a #2 accident but I will take it because he Peed in the potty 6 times! I know the battle has just begun but my heart swells with PRIDE every time I see him clap and say Yay! Potty Training is a terrible vicious extremely stressful thing but I do realize that I'm one lucky momma to be training such a sweet, beautiful, healthy little boy! Who is soaking up his new confidence!

Lets Update

So I have a new camera and a new internet service provider so I will try really hard to not get so far behind. This blog was created so that my mom would get updates and pictures often so she isn't so happy that I have fallen so far behind and Bo was talking to his friend J on the phone and when they got off J said tell the ole lady to update the blog! I always feel silly updating thinking no one reads the blog but it is nice to know they do!

When we walked up to the sea lions they were making really loud noises and Trent started screaming "he burped he burped" really loud I was cracking up and took me a while to get the camera out little did I know Ben would steal the show with what he thinks about the sea lions....
